Shams Ma’an Power Generation PSC, is a 52.5MW photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) that went into production of clean energy from the sun by the end of September 2016 led by an agreement with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).

It is one of the largest PV plants in the region and the largest in Jordan that is privately developed and owned at a total investment of approximately $ 170 million.

Shams Ma’an occupies 2 million square meters utilizing 605,400 PV panels, installed by world class thin film technology by First Solar, producing around 160 GWh per year, almost 1% of Jordan’s electricity current generation, and preventing around 90,000 tons of CO2 emission.
